Brattleboro Memorial Hospital

Yesterday Iain and I hung the 32nd exhibit of I Am More in the gallery of Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. It was a messy two and a half hour commute each way in a bit of snow, but the enthusiasm of my native Vermonters made it worth it!

I don’t mean to knock our current home of Massachusetts, but there was not a person who passed by in that hallway who didn’t have something encouraging to say about the exhibit. There’s just something about Vermont. It was one of the easiest hangs with a hanging system, beautiful lighting and plenty of space to spread out all sixteen of the originals. Our hospital contact, Gina Pattison, even helped us unload, which isn’t usually a thing. Our lunch at the cafe was also shockingly excellent.

The display will be up until the end of April if you have friends in southern Vermont.

Just days ago we also held the opening reception for I Am More: Massachusetts at the NorthShore Mall. It was a supportive group of people from north shore organizations like NAMI Greater North Shore, NAMI Cape Ann, the NAN Project, Congressman Seth Moulton’s office, WBZ radio, plus north shore portrait subjects and their families. Everyone had the same comment – it’s so great that this is in a mall!!

A special thank you to Iain, for, you know…everything.
