Last Friday we loaded up the State House exhibit, waved good-bye to our new Ranger friend, John, in the loading dock, and the next morning arrived at our old faithful location, Northshore Mall. This is our third time at our regional mall, and we’re back in front of Macy’s for a month, with new portraits and our new Spanish translations!

This is the first time all six of the newest portraits and essays will be on the north shore: Erin, Karen, Jared, Karla, Cindy, and Autumn. This is the location where Erin first saw the project and offered to tell her story of growing up with Alopecia, and the place where Jared first bumped into the exhibit, and ended up taking photos for North Shore Magazine and writing about his experiences with hearing loss and tinnitus, so lots of great connections started here.

I’ve included some of our old favorites from 2020, and resources from NAMI Greater North Shore/Cape Ann and The NAN Project.

On Thursday, February 2nd you’re invited to join us for an opening reception at the exhibit from 5-7pm, with food and friends, and some of the subjects making an appearance.

Thank you to the Dream Team of Lauren Dalis, Erin Davis, and Karen Nascembeni for reception planning and press outreach for this exhibit, mall Security and staff for looking after the exhibit, and a huge thank you to Northshore Mall General Manager Mark Whiting for allowing us to return and share these stories. Every time we come we end up with new opportunities, and for that we are grateful.

Looks good. Make sure to insure my portrait. π
