With your donations this year we had exhibits in six malls in three states, our first church, a university, and the Massachusetts State House, a total of 55 exhibits to date, with one more to go for December! Portraits were added covering depression in the clergy, Alzheimer’s disease, the first collaborative portrait, an LGBTQ asylum seeker, bipolar disease as a senior, and the first I Am More portrait of a family, the 50th portrait of the collection, plus one more in the works. We added new Spanish translations, Helpful Number cards, and QR codes for easier reading. We were featured in just about every North Shore newspaper plus Boston and New England news. This was just this year! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the project this year with donations, time and energy–every little bit helped to cover frames, transportation, printing, art supplies and more. A huge thank you to Simon Malls, and especially Erin Davis, who brought I Am More to thousands of people this year. Thank you to Northshore Mall’s Lauren Dalis and Mark Whiting who started it all, Happy Retirement, Mark!! Much gratitude to exhibit hosts Minority Leader Bruce Tarr for the State House, Snaggs Gendron for Tufts, Maureen Duram for North Shore UU Church, and Jennifer Smith and Leslie Finn from Pyramid Management and Crossgates Mall. A huge thank you to our partners NAMI and The NAN Project. My undying gratitude to my husband who schlepped and drove in all kinds of weather to make these exhibits happen. Big love to my parents and daughter for cheering us on every step of the way. And most importantly, thank you to the portrait subjects who gave so much of themselves to help others, there would be no I Am More without you.
